Extremely fast production of tiny, complex partsM332V

The Cincom sliding head lathe R07 defines it's own category for ultra-precise production of small and tiny parts. Equipped with a sub spindle and 2 rotary tools the machine is designed for maximum precision, extremely fast machining, short response times whilst occupying minimal floor space.

Special Features

  • Linear Motors

    • The main-spindle features a built-in motor. Very fast acceleration and high positioning accuracy are obtained by the use of linear motors in all X-, Y- and Z1 axes in combination with Heidenhane glass scales for precise feedback of position. No ball screws are used, so variations of accuracy due to changing temperatures are eliminated. Exceptional precision and repeat accuracy are achieved. High speed rapid feed rates up to 30m/min are possible.

  • Main spindle

    • High-speed spindle with precision ceramic bearings and built-in motor for a spindle speed up to 16000 rpm.

  • Sub-spindle

    • Newly developed, extremely compact unit for speeds up to 10000rpm and pip-free part-off surface. Opening and closing of collets by pneumatic control.

  • Tooling system with up to 13 tools

  • Simultaneous Machining

    • Simultaneous control of up to 6 axes. Simultaneous working with up to 3 tools. Full synchronization between main and sub-spindles.

  • Space saving compact design

    • The use of linear motors and micro-technologies plus the integration of the control cabinet under the bar feeder makes the CNC sliding headstock lathe R07 and extremely compact machine. Using type VI with the new very small sub-spindle, the dimensions are no larger than those of a cam lathe. This means a significantly higher productivity in relation to the required space.

Work Area

Vertical Holder 1

  • Up to 2 rotary tools and up to 3 turning tools available for turning, grooving, screwcutting, parting-off, milling etc.

  • Standard Y-axis facilitates tool centre height adjustment and enables complex operations to be carried out with ease.

  • Many tooling options available.

Vertical Holder 2

  • 3 stationary spindles for front machining

  • 3 stationary spindles for back machining

  • 2 turning tools (3 optional)

  • Allows operations such as drilling, tapping, screw-cutting, boring and turning to be carried out in 'hidden time'.

CNC System

The super-fast Fanuc 18iB control features a fully positionable control console enables the operator to observe the machining area and the control display at the same time. The handwheel feature provides the operator with a safe and convenient means of proving out programs prior to selecting the automatic mode. This is particularly useful to newcomers to CNC operation.

The storage and input of program data is simplified by the PC memory card slot (PCMCIA aka. PC Card).
