CITIZEN PLANS 3-DAY ONE-STOP TURN-MILLING EVENT AT WATFORD OPEN HOUSE 22-24 SEPTEMBER 2009 Hot topics on productivity improvement will be high on the agenda at Citizen Machinery UK’s demonstrations focusing on its one-stop capability Open House on turn-milling to be staged at the Watford showroom between 22 and 24 September. At the event seven CNC sliding head turn-mill centres from the Citizen range and a turn-milling centre from Miyano will be demonstrating the latest advances to achieve higher productivity cycles from single operation production. From the Citizen stable the latest micro-machining capable R07 fitted with a 100,000 revs/min driven tool spindle with the ability to thread whirl diameters under 1 mm will be alongside further Citizen machines in 16 mm, three in 20 mm and two with 32 mm bar capacities. The very popular K-16 will demonstrate the effectiveness of the Citizen-developed Streamline control and 20 mm capacity machines will include the non-guide bush A20-VIICL, the entry level A20-VI and the Streamline controlled L20-VIII. Representing both the top of the range and entry level 32 mm capacity machines is the M32-V, able to carry up to 80 tools. Having two independent Y-axis slides and capable of cutting with three tools simultaneously, the M32 will be alongside the world’s fastest 32 mm capacity machine, the low cost, high rigidity A32 with 45 m/min rapid traverse rates. Following the recent acquisition of Miyano Machinery by Citizen, either the twin-turret Miyano BNJ or triple-turret, two Y-axis ABX Series will be under power in the Citizen showroom. Key presentations will also be given by Miyano personnel on the higher productivity capabilities available from its machines when using automation. Demonstrated for the first time will be the Citizen Adaptive Guide Bush that will perform automatic compensation on bar stock allowing non-ground material to be used while maintaining high levels of workpiece concentricity. Presentations and product demonstrations will also be made by supporting companies at the event on tooling, component inspection and measurement, coolant recovery, its laundering, swarf management and finance. A wide selection of quality, warranted, pre-owned Citizens with capacities of 20 mm, 25 mm and 32 mm will also be on show in the Citizen Pre-Owned Centre adjacent to the main building in Park Avenue. Further details on the three-day event are available at the Citizen Machinery UK website: www.citizenmachinery.co.uk. |
