Super-efficient and economic machining of complex parts up to 32mm in diameter in short cycle times. The user-friendly design simplifies programming and operation utilising the latest CITIZEN technology.
Three multi-tool stations for ultra-fast production and minimal idle time.
Vertical tool holder with 5 turning tools and 4 rotary tools.
10-position multi-tool turret for front and back machining; all positions driven (1.5 / 2.2kW, 5000rpm). 60+ tools can be mounted.
3-station (5 optional) back machining unit for fixed and driven tools (up to 2 driven positions possible - 0.75kW, 5000rpm).
New, higher-speed processing control with fast-acting macros for operations such as thread chasing.
High spindle speeds can be used with accurate pitch control during acceleration/deceleration routines.
To ensure setter/operator confidence, a fast cycling program check for format and syntax errors can be made without machine movement. Cycle time is also displayed to help with program optimisation.
The advanced control allows simultaneous front and back machining with up to 3 tools 'in-cut' for maximum efficiency.
Hydraulics and pneumatics are all replaced by highly reliable servos. The latest AC-drive technology reduces idle times and simplifies machine setup. Opening and closing of the collet and operation of the parts ejector are all controlled by servo-motors.
14 Axes of control, 10 primary, 4 auxiliary.
Super-fast turret indexing.
Workpiece length up to 320mm without re-chucking, long parts option available for parts up to 600mm+ in length.
Wide-opening door provides convenient accessibility to the operating area to aid easy tool setting.
Impressive range of standard equipment including parts gantry unloading system.
Ideal for heavy machining.
Super-fast changeovers between jobs.

Citizen’s used-friendly operating system using Mitsubishi Meldas 635 series hardware with Microsoft Windows 2000 interface. A 64 bit RISC processor ensures that all machine functions are performed and controlled in the shortest of times. This includes the fast processing of extensive program blocks.
A fully positionable large 10.4" colour LCD control panel allows simultaneous viewing of working area and screen. A hand wheel allows safe and easy program prove-out.
The Microsoft Windows interface includes pictorial references to guide the user step-by-step through operation sequences helping to minimise the time for changeovers and set-ups.
Collet operation, workpiece ejection and even the magazine bar feed are operated by servo-motors. The control system fully synchronises the axes and enables a high degree of simultaneous front and back machining (with up to 3 tools in-cut at once). The software simplifies programming to enable a fast learning curve even for first time users.
A large number of software options are available including Gear Hobbing and Polygon Turning. A comprehensive standard specification is included. The system is equipped with RS232, PCMCIA and (optional) LAN interfaces for program transfer.
