| |
The
CINCOM L-series has been specially developed for high-precision
manufacture
of simple and complex parts in medium to large batch sizes. It offers
all-round versatility and flexibility with its many options
and extremely short setup times. All axis movements and even the
opening
and closing of chucks are implemented by servo motors. As a result,
actuation times are reduced by around 50% by comparison with conventional
CNC lathes which rely on hydraulics/pneumatics for auxiliary functions.
Built-in servo motors require less space and minimise the occurrence
of faults. |

| Improvements
over the L20-VII |
- Increased
driven tool power:
- The driven
tool motor on the gang plate has been upgraded from 0.75kW to 1.0kW.
- Increased
Machine Rigidity:
- Larger and
heavier axis slides combined with an improved driven tool clamping
system have increased the machine's overall rigidity.
- Increased
gang tool post flexibility:
- Flexibility
for more cross-drilling tools - By utilising the triple
driven tool spindle (GSE910) the total number of cross-drilling
tools can be increased to 7.
- Increased end-drilling
tools - By rotating the GSE910 holder through 90°, 4 cross-drilling
tools and 3 front end-drilling tools are possible.
- Using the double
end drilling tool spindle (GSE1007), 4 cross-drilling and front
and back end drilling tools are possible.
- Increased
tool flexibility:
- You can replace
the cross-drilling spindle with a double or triple stationary I.D.
tool holder.
- The cross-drilling
spindles on T6 and T7 can be switched to turning tools using optional
turning tool adaptors.

Citizen's
control system makes it possible to control all machine movements simultaneously.
By using intelligent servo motors on both axis movements and miscellaneous
functions such as opening and closing the collet cycle times are reduced.
The elimination of all hydraulics and pneumatics makes machine maintenance
easier and increases reliability.
Built-in servo motors
allow higher-speed, higher precision and lower noise levels. A new design
of servo motor with built-in amplifiers dramatically reduces the space
required in the electrical cabinet. Also a modular circuit system results
in 50% less wiring and reduced cost.

| The
CNC Control Mitsubishi M6 with 64-bit processor (Windows 95) was
specifically developed for the Cincom L20-VIII.
The storage
capacity for the part programs is normally 8kB (optional
upgrade to 16/32kB). The complete control system is integrated
into the swiveling operation panel whcih incorporates a clear
10.4" LCD
colour display.
The patented
superimposed control permits he simultaneous internal and external
machining of the main spindle with different feed rates.
The CNC
hand wheel enables safe and easy program prove out. Potential collision
points can be recognised and avoided, and all movements can be
optimised.
Through the
Windows user interface and the extensive range of functions, programming
is simplified to enable a fast-track learning curve even for first
time users |
