Increased Speed and Efficiency

The new Citizen K12E / 16E-VII combines modern technology and highest precision for the fastest possible production of turned parts up to 12mm / 16mm in diameter.

7 axes, 6 turning tools, 4 rotary tools and in total 8 tools for front and back machining as standard with many tooling configurations available to suit your requirements.

 

Maximum cutting length is 200 mm in one chucking. However, with the optional long work piece unit, components up to 400 mm can be machined. The main spindle is driven by a 3.7 kW motor and the sub-spindle has a 0.75 kW drive. The rotary tool drive also has a 0.40 kW AC spindle motor giving 6,000 RPM.

 

Key upgrades from the previous generation K series include full colour screen, Polygon / Hob cutting option, Rigid tapping phase adjustment and newer generation control with 'Cincom Control' technology giving up to 20% cycle time and 50% idle time improvements.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Work Area

Vertical Holder

  • Up to 8 rotary tools and up to 7 turning tools available for turning, grooving, screwcutting, parting-off, milling etc.

  • Standard Y-axis facilitates tool centre height adjustment and enables complex operations to be carried out with ease.

Back Work Holder

  • 4 stationary spindles for back machining

  • Allows operations such as drilling, tapping, screw-cutting, boring and turning to be carried out simultaneously with other operations.

  • Optional U152B 3-position back-face driven tool option (0.4kW, 4500rpm)

Front Work Holder

  • 4 stationary spindles for front machining

  • Allows operations such as drilling, tapping, screw-cutting, boring and turning to be carried out simultaneously with other operations.

  • Software options include: Gear Hobbing, Polygon Turning, High Speed threading.

Supporting Software Options

CNC Wizard

Low-cost Programming Aid for Citizen machines for faster and easier part-program creation. The software leads you through creation of your part-program using clear diagrams, photos and text. A simple program can be potentially be written in a matter of minutes! Full editing and communications features are built into the software along with program validation checks. Ideal for both new and experienced Citizen users.

Alarm alerting system

Automatically inform designated people in your organisation if an alarm occurs on one of your Citizen machines. Up to 100 machines can be simultaneously monitored. The message delivery can be via. voice message to land-line or mobile, SMS text message to a mobile or Email. Multiple recipients can be specified for each machine. This system is ideal for those running the machine unattended overnight.
